2016 Official Olympic Suppliers

Just one day before the opening of the 2014 F.I.G. Congress in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) has determined the official equipment supplier of the gymnastics disciplines of the Games of XXXI. Olympiad in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro:
Just as last in Beijing in 2008 received the prestigious German equipment manufacturer "SPIETH Gymnastics" from Altbach in Stuttgart, (artistic gymnastics) and the global brand "Eurotramp" from Weilheim Teck (trampolining) the surcharge. For rhythmic gymnastics, the French company "GYMNOVA" equips the Olympic competitions and adds two apparatus of artistic gymnastics too.

Technical equipment and know-how
Stronger than in earlier times, the properties and qualities of modern gymnastics equipment have become genuine performance factors. They were created by the manufacturers of the equipment in close cooperation with athletes and coaches in the practice of the global top gymnastics centers. They must strictly comply the regulations, requirements and guidelines of the World Federation, and shall be certified by it. The FIG act according to the highest-possible safety for the athletes and will provide the best athletes in the world, the best-most possible material conditions for top events available.
Equipment used at FIG competitions are certified after an extensive testing process, which takes place at centers in Tokyo (JPN), Freiburg in Breisgau (GER).
