In cooperation with British Gymnastics, the FIG Gymnastics for All Committee is organising a symposium on the topic “Gymnastics for people with disabilities.” The event will take place in Lilleshall (GBR) from May 30 – June 1, 2014.
Underlining that Gymnastics is an activity suitable for everyone, no matter of one’s gender, age, abilities or cultural background, the committee points out that FIG Gymnastics for All events like the World Gymnaestrada and World Gym for Life Challenge regularly feature groups that include gymnasts with disabilities. The committee finds this integration important and encourages Gymnastics federations and groups to foster this approach.
