2014 1st Challence Cup of Artistic Gymnastics in Cottbus

At this March weekend also Europe starts into the international season 2014 with the first of altogether six Challence Cups, the "Tournament of Masters" in Cottbus. Next week will follow the 7th Challenge Cup in Doha (QAT) already. In April will held the Challenge events Ljubljana (SLO) and Osiek (CRO). Just before the Europeans Portugal will organize his first Challenge Cup in Anadia and the 2014 circuit will finish in August in Ghent, Belgium.

After two qualification days Russias Denis ABLYAZIN (floor, rings) and Hungary's Olympic Champion Krisztian BERKI were the winners of the first final day.
On second day the Euoropean champion from 2010, Tumi TUUHA (FIN) on vault, Koji UEMATSU (JPN) on parallel bars and Andreas BRETSCHNEIDER (GER) on high bar were the winners.
On women's side host Germany celebrated the victories of Janine BERGER (vault) and Sophie SCHEDER (uneven bars). Noémi MAKRA from Hungary and Maria PIHAN-KULESZA from Poland were on top at balance beam and floor exercises ...
