* WOMEN's Individual
The top 8 individual gymnasts lined up and it is the French Aurélie JOLY that takes to the floor first heating up the atmosphere in the Complexe Gymnique in Arques.
The Hungarian Dora HEGYI, qualified in second position, obtains the score of 21.400 and takes the lead of the competition but not for long as the Austrian Lubov GAZOV, 4th qualifier, outscores her with a nice 21.450. The Romanian Oana Corina CONSTANTIN is at that moment still the bronze medallist, knowing however that the Spanish Sara MORENO, favourite in this category, is the second last to pass.
In fact, with 0.050 points more than the Austrian, she takes home the title scoring 21.500.

** MEN's Individual
It is now up to the individual men to battle out their final. The first to line up is the Russian Alexander KONDRATICHEV who was yesterday’s third qualifier.
2 French, 2 Italians and 2 Romanians are contesting this final. Riccardo PENTASSUGLIA/ITA, top qualifier, confirms his supremacy with a fantastic 21.950. He is followed by Mircea ZAMFIR (ROU) who tops his score of 0.100 points receiving a 21.550 and the silver medal. The bronze medal goes to the French Benjamin GARAVEL (21.350), leaving the Russian (third qualifier) on the disappointing foot of the podium.

** MIXED PAIRS
Let’s see how the podium of the Mixed Pairs will be. The results are slightly different than those obtained during the qualifications. In fact, the scores starting from zero, the duos gave everything again in this afternoon’s final and the suspense was high until the final podium was battled out.
Without surprise, the Russian Duo composed by D. DZHANAZYAN and D. SOLOVIEV take home the European title with the score of 21.250 but shares the rank with M. B. BECZE and M. C. PETRUSE from Romania.
The surprise came however from the Italians M. CASTOLDI and D. DONATI, 5th qualifiers, who manage to climb on the third step of the podium. The French A. JOLY and B. GARAVEL end up at the foot of the podium despite a nice improvement compared to the qualifications.

The crowd here in Arques is enthusiastic and the Complexe is vibrating. The final of the Trio and Groups is yet to come…
The Romanian Trio already in the lead of the preliminaries improves its score by 0.200 points and secures its first rank and the European title of the category.
While it was the French and the Russian that occupied the provisional podium after the qualifications, in that same order, it is finally the Russian Trio that outscores the French winning the silver medal and leaving the bronze to the French.

** G R O U P S
The Russian group, top qualifier and second one to pass, takes the lead of this final with a nice 21.066. They keep this rank until the passage of the French, who, carried by the loud cheering of their home crowd present an absolute crowd-pleaser earning a fantastic 21.550 and the European title.
The Romanians, who were the last once to show their performance (second qualifier), manage a flawless routine winning the silver medal.
