Great Britains Ruby Harrold (photo, right)
placed 8th in the all-around final at the 5th Individual European Championships in Moscow - the best ever placing by a British woman in the event.
Ruby produced a clean competition on all four pieces to score her a total of 54.633; Charlie Fellows joined Ruby in the final in her senior championships debut and placed 18th .
Ruby said: “It feels absolutely fantastic, I came to the European Championships aiming for bars final so to finish 8th all-around is fantastic. The competition went really well, I was pretty chilled as I know my routines inside out. To start on vault was good as it helped settle the nerves and to finish on floor which is my favourite piece to compete also helped. I'm pretty proud of what I’ve achieved - I can’t believe it.”
