Full bleachers with more than 2,000 spectators at the IV. International HAMBURG GYMNASTICS 2012 ensured breathtaking atmosphere, transformed the Hamburger Sports Hall Wandsbek into a true turn-Arena at this weekend.
The gymnasts from 10 nations and altogether 19 teams played with jumps, flips and graceful movements on the four apparatus  floor, uneven bars, balance beam and vault all facets of the Olympic gymnastics categories.
The hotly contested "Hamburg Team Trophy" was able to secure in a furious competition with 103.5 points the German club "Turnerschaft Großburgwedel", the team of theGerman  Olympian Lisa-Katharina Hill, who was best of all-around.
 Also, the local hero inside of  "Turn-Team Hamburg" convinced and reached with 0.2 points ahead the Dutch "Turning Spirit Amsterdam" - 3rd place last year - now on second rank.
Behind the three leadership teams from Germany and the Netherlands the favorit from the "U.S.-All-Star team Region 7 II" occupied at the end on  fourth rank ...

This year at the fourth anniversary of Hamburg Gymnastics (16/17. Nov) was a spectacle again of a special kind:
The TOP FIVE FINAL of the best teams was completed by the Dresdner SC (GER) as the best team of the Lucky Loser round on Saturday afternoon. 
At the apparatus of the finals, and especially excelled again - as early as Friday - the German Olympic replacement gymnast Lisa Katharina Hill ('Turnerschaft Grossburgwedel", born 1992). 
The 19-years old athlete, who trained at the German Team campion TuS Chemnitz got 14.150 points on the uneven bars.
Starting for Turning Spirits Amsterdam the 18-years old Vera van Pol (Jg.1994) scored 13.65 points on uneven bars and 13.700 on floor exercises.

The Hamburg-born Isabelle Marquard, who trains in Chemnitz, it is a matter of honor to start at the Hamburg Gymnastics:
"It's great to do gymnastics so many people for the gymnastics team Hamburg. The audience give us the feeling to be stars. I hope to be there again in 2013! "

Chief-Organizer of the event, Petra Schulz, Executive Board Member of the Organizing Association for Physical Education and Recreation Hamburg eV. (VTF), sees the great development of the Hamburg Gymnastics great potential pick one European or World Championship in Hamburg:
"The Hamburg Gymnastics have established a national and international firm. This is a validation of our approach. The high power density and the large attendances thrills the hearts turn up and moves the turn sports into the spotlight. We want to continue in 2013".

Also the foreign teams were impressed by the competition and the atmosphere in the big German Hanseatic City of Hamburg:: "The Hamburg Gymnastics are fast, exciting and the audience it brings a lot of fun" , Daphne Slingerland said, starting in the Team of the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Federation (KNGU).
 And her coach José vid Veen added: "The mode here is fantastic and perfect for the top junior in order to gain experience. 2009 we were already here and would definitely come back to Germany. "

* All-around (Qualification):
It was a special kind of show on the first day to watch the season opener of the Hamburg Gymnastics 2012:
Breathtaking jumps, somersaults and graceful movements on the mat brought the audience and gymnastics fans in the stands already in top form.
The top three finalists since Friday were:
- Turnerschaft Grossburgwedel (103.35 points),
- United States All-Star Team II Region 7 (103.00) and
- Turning Spirit Amsterdam (102.40)
- have qualified on Friday in the first round for the TOP-FIVE-FINAL, Saturday evening.
The hosting GYM TEAM Hamburg missed the first direct entry into the finals just could, but on Saturday in the main round, still one of the last final gig tickets, and  the other won the Dresdner SC as the best team of the "Lucky Loser" round (see below)

In the Senior Stars (Elite category) the member of German national team Lisa-Katharina Hill (19) and here member of the "Turnerschaft Grossburgwedel" dominated the all-around competition with outstanding 55.35 points.

The ranks 4 - 8 will start in the main round on Saturday again by properly. The winner of this round will determine who joins the TOP 3 of the first round in the final.
The ranks 9-18 complete in the Lucky Loser Round fighting for the last place in the TOP FIVE FINAL.
 
As part of the first round were also scores instead of the age cohorts 2000, 1997-1999 and 1996 and older.

Among the Young Stars (born 2000) Sim Doberenz of theTS Grossburgwedel excelled with a score of 38.45.
