* PersonalitiesHardy Fink receives Nik Stuart Foundation award

* fig - news ---:  Hardy FINK from Canada, Director of FIG Education and Academy Programmes, was awarded the Nik Stuart Foundation International Diploma of Honour this year.
Absent from the annual dinner and presentation night in Meriden (GBR) this September due to family engagements, Fink received the award at the recent 79th FIG Congress in Cancun (MEX).
Prominent awardees of the NSF International Diploma of Honour include former FIG President Yuri Titov (RUS), incumbent FIG President Prof. Bruno Grandi (ITA), and George Guelzec (FRA), President of the European Gymnastics Union (UEG), diploma recipients in 2004, 2009 and 2011 respectively.

Nik STUART (1927 - 2002)

In 2003 the Nik Stuart Foundation was inaugurated to observe his example in the fellowship and culture of gymnastics, with the ethos and aims to befriend, serve, encourage, help, honour and award, exceptional persons associated with the many facets of gymnastics, who, by their example or endeavour, integrity, sportsmanship and ambassadorship, serve to inspire others.
Each year an annual NSF Memorial Dinner is held, where awards are made in a number of deserving categories:

  • Lifetime Achievement Award
  • UK Diploma of Honour Award
  • Spirit of Gymnastics Award
  • Nik Stuart Memorial Award
  • Oscar Heidenstam Award to Physical Culture
  • British Gymnastics Special Recognition Awards
