12th WORLDS of AEROBIC GYMNASTICS 2012

After 2004, the Bulgarian capital of Sofia organized to the second time now the12th AEROBIC GYMNASTICS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2012 .

After completion of the so-called "world age group" competitions of young athletes (29-31 May), ELTE competitions join now on the first three days of June.
As a novelty, for the first time two new disciplines were inducted into the program of these Aerbic Worlds:
Dance aerobics and step aerobics.

Over 800 participants from 42 countries were notified - 448 young athletes and 370 elite athletes, who at the same time want to qualify in Sofia for the World Games 2013 in Cali, Columbia

Bulgarian hosts celebrated their first success by Tihomir Barotev (18,500), in front of the Romanian Stefan Hustea (18,200).

* Women's Individual, Qualification:
Gymnasts fromSpain, France Romania and Bulgaria are on the top, so Sara Moreno leads in front of Arelie Joly, Oana Constantin and Denitsa Parichkova.
Also the Austrian Lubov Gazov on sxth place is qualified for the final event ...!

France: ... on third of new discipline step aerobic, with hopes for a medal!

Die neu ins WM-Programm genommene Disziplin Step-Aerobic wird aus deutscher Sicht vom Deutschen Meister, dem TuS Bommern aus Witten (7 Frauen und 1 Mann) vertreten, dem es jedoch bei der Dominanz der Gruppen aus Russland, China, Frankreich, Korea ... nicht gelang, auch nur in die Nähe einer Finalqualifikation zu kommen.

Die zweite neue WM-Disziplin ist Dance Aerobic.
Auch hier dominierten die etablierten Nationen Rumänien, China, Frankreich, Russland die Qualifikation der insgesamt 10 sich bei der Premiere bewerbenden Länderformationen ...!

Großer Andrang herrschte bei den Trios, einer etablierten WM-Disziplin mit 32 Nationan am Start, wo sich aber gleich 2 chinesische und 2 rumänische Formationen für das Finale qualifizierten. Dazu gesellen sich Korea, Russland, Vietnam und Italien...

The second new discipline is Dance Aerobic.
Also here the established nations are in front of the concurrence, like Romania, China, France and Russia - the best of the altogether 10 participated countries at this premiere.

A big field of 32 different nations started ad the categorie TRIOs.
Two Chinese and two Romanian trios are qualified for the dinal, also the teams from Korea, Russia, Vietnam and Italy ...
