2012 Canadian National Championships

New all-around champion

<< Kristina VACULIK of Whitby, Ont., won the women’s all around title on the first day of competition Friday at the Elite Canada artistic gymnastics meet.
Vaculik, competing for the first time since helping Canada qualify a full women’s team for the 2012 Olympics in January  in London (GBR), topped the field on beam, placed second on floor and uneven bars and was sixth on vault for a total score of 56.350 points.
On men's side after the first day's all-around competition the former junior Robert WATSON (Richmond Gymnastics) won with a score of 84,100, but at the final day Anderson LORAN got two golds at the apparatus ...

On second place comes Anderson LORAN /Taiso Gymnastics; 83,850), followed by Hugh SMITH (Halifax ALTA; 83,150).
Winning two titles more at the pommel horse and the high bar final Anderson LORAN was the most successful athlet at these Nationals in Canda.

Teams from London's Pre-Olympics were not required to attend.
But Nathan Gafuik did 2 apparatus, first on P Bars 14.700. Jackson Payne did 3 events, first on Pommel horse 14.950. The best kept secret in Canadian gymnastics, Scott Morgan, was first on Rings 15.250 and second on Floor exerc. 14.700.

At the women's final day four different girls won the apparatus titel, but all-around champion Victoria Vaculik won two silver (bars, beam) and one bronze (floor)...:
