It is Russia that dominates as for the number of medals in these senior finals with 5 medals on the total of 15, including 1 gold one. But Romania is the only nation to win two gold medals and this in front of its home crowd. Spain, France and Italy will also go home with one or more medals.

No change for this final compared to yesterday’s qualifications; in fact, Constantin Oana Corina topped the individual women ranking with an excellent score of 21.050. The Spanish Moreno Sara wins the silver medal with a 20.800 and the Romanian secures an additional bronze medal with Pavel Maria Luisa (20.350). These three competitors who took the lead in the beginning of the competition will not be outscored by anyone else…

The European Title holder, Parejo Ivan / ESP, dominates once again in these European Championships scoring an excellent 21.850. Already top qualifier, he remains unbeatable during this entire qualification.The Romanian Zamir Mircea, second qualifier, muffs his routine and ends up seventh; he lets the silver medal escape to the benefit of the Italian Pagliuca Emanuele (who qualified in third position).Finally it is the Russian Kondratichev Alexander who will take home the bronze medal with a score of 20.850.

Same top ranking as in the qualifications: the Romanian trio composed of Mavrodineanu Tudorel Valentin / Zamfir Mircea / Porime-Tolan Petru obtains the same score as yesterday (an excellent 21.950) and wins the European Title followed by the Russian trio (Lobazyuk Kirill / Kondratichev Alexander / Trushkov Igor) who claims the silver medal with a 21.200. The audience and the gymnasts have to wait until the last passage of the French Trio to know the complete podium composition as the French Decker Breteil Maxime / Garavel Nicolas / Garavel Benjamin secure the bronze medal thanks to their score of 21.150.

The results of this final change compared with yesterday’s qualifications; it is the French Pair with Joly Aurélie and Chaninet Julien who takes off gold scoring a 21.500. Moreno Sara and Lli Vicente / ESP, who improve their score of 0.450 points compared to yesterday, climb on the second step of the podium while the Russian duo composed of Kudymova Evgeniya and Grinin Maxime, second qualifiers, slide into the third position with a score of 21.100.

The 6 Russian boys are definitively the « kings » of this category as they confirm their top position scoring a 21.550. It is also Russia with its group of 6 girls that confirms its third qualifying rank with a 20.439, leaving the French at the foot of the podium. It is the Romanian Group that takes off the silver medal of the groups final with a 20.794.

The 15 medals of the junior finals go to Italy (with 3 gold medals), Romania (5 in total including 2 gold medals), Spain (1 bronze) and Russia (5 in total including 1 gold medal).
* Women Individuals
It is finally the Italian Castoldi Michela who dominates this final, after having ranked second in the preliminaries two days ago. Improving her score of 0.300 points she passes from a 19.850 to a 20.150 outscoring the Romanian Radu Alina who was today’s favourite but whose score of 19.500 was not enough to keep the lead in this category. It is finally the last competitor that completes the podium: the Spanish Tovar Marta is awarded a 19.200 and the third step of the podium.

After taking off the women individual title, Italy also claims the title in the individual men’s category with Pentassuglia Riccardo who proves his supremacy by increasing his qualifying score of 19.850, received two days ago, scoring a beautiful 20.150 today. The Romanian Draghici Cristian confirms his third qualifying rank with a 19.350. The surprise comes from the Italian Donati Davide, last competitor of this final who scores a 19.600 taking off the silver medal.

The suspense lasted until the passage of the last duo - only then the winner of this final was known: it is the Italian Pair with Donati Davide and Castoldi Michela who earns the gold medal with a 19.670. They managed to improve their qualifying score of 0.670 and to move up one rank compared to Friday’s preliminaries. Russia succeeds to place both its pairs on the podium. Zakharova Viktoriia and Soloviev Denis garner the silver medal with a 19.400 and Dzhanazyan Dukhik and Isrefilov Salman the bronze medal with 19.150.

Same scenario as for the mixed pairs; the second last trio of the starting list, the Romanians Gorgovan Bianca Maria / Radu Alina / Deac Diana Cristina score a 19.834 and take off the gold medal, but this time it is no surprise as to the qualifications. Idem for the two other steps of the podium with Romania placing its second group in 2nd position (19.484) and with Russia completing the podium with a 19.386.

Romania ends with a brilliant and impeccable exercise and scores a 19.784 allowing the 6 girls to take home the gold medal of the groups.The rest of the podium is exclusively Russian with its two groups whose scores are only separated by a tiny gap receiving a 19.381 and 19.334 respectively. It is the Italian Pentassuglia Riccardo who takes the lead of this qualification with 19.850 points, followed by the Russian Isrefilov Salman who gets the score of 19.250. The other qualifiers remain below the bar of 19.000 points. It is the Romanian Draghici Cristian who takes the third qualifying rank with 18.950!

Mixed Pairs (9)
The maximum score is awarded to one of the two mixed pairs from Russia, composed of Zakharova Viktoriia and Soloviev Denis – 19.350. Italy and Romania are among the top qualifiers of this category. Russia, Romania and Hungary are in the finals with 2 pairs each, multiplying thus their chances to win medals.

Of the 11 Groups competing, 8 groups are only composed of girls, 2 are mixed (with 2 and 3 boys) and one is composed of boys only.Romania finishes these qualifications with a flourish by taking the top qualifying position with a score of 19.431.
