International Top Class of Artistic Gymnastics in Leverkusen

To the 36th time the wellknow German  "Turn-Club 72 Leverkusen"  invites its guests to the "2011 International Leverkusen Cup", which will held Saturday, November 12 at the "Smid Arena" of Leverkusen (Germany).
An international field of femal gymnasts and teams from Albania, Great Britain, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands Slovenia, the Republic of South Africa and of course from host Germany will participate and fight for the sought-after Team Cup for the best squad.
More than 2.000 visitors were guests in the venue in the last years, because this competition is one of the oldest and traditional European events in Europe.
A lot of later stars of artistic gymnastics started their career here in Leverkusen ...

The Leverkusen Cup is a team competition with integrated individual all-around ranking:
* Three gymnasts - one team;
* The best two of three scores were add for the team ranking;
* The best team will win the "Leverkusen Challenge Cup".
* All of the participants will start in all-around on four apparatus.
* The best gymnast in all-around will be the individual Leverkusen Cup Winner.
It's a competition under the rules if the "Code of Pointage" (FIG).
All the apparatus relate to the top international standard.
All the guests of the 35 events in history represented 95 clubs from 40 countries of all the five continents!!

The German Squad of the host will represent by
- Nicole Ster, German Youth Champion  2011 on floor;
- Nadja Schulze, German Youth Vice-Champion 2011 all-around; and champion on beam, as well as
- Kim Janas, the recent Age Group Champion all-around, uneven bars and on floor.

<< Slowenien will come with Teja Belak (photo, left) and Fiona Novac two members of the national team of the partner city of Leverkusen, from Ljubljana - both took part at the this years world championships in Tokyo.
Italy comes with title holder Elisa Meneghini, who won the last years all-around competition.
Also the guests from Albania, England and the Netherlands will come with young and upcoming gymnasts.
