Top qualifier and member of the Gold medal winning Team of Kazakhstan, Anna Alyabyeva, took the Rhythmic Gymnastics Individual All-around title at the 16th Asian Games Friday in Guangzhou (CHN).

A talented gymnast, the 17 year old prevailed over a field of 18 finalists, scoring a total of 111.450 points, with Hoop being her best apparatus (28.650).
Her final score in Guangzhou would have been enough to win her the Bronze medal at the World Championships two months ago in Moscow (RUS), where she actually placed seventh ...

The Rhythmic Gymnastics Individual All-around Final concluded the Gymnastics competitions of the 16th Asian Games, an event that reaches its end in Guangzhou (CHN) with a Closing Ceremony on Saturday.

The 17th edition of the quadrennial Asian Games
is scheduled to take place from September 19 – October 4, 2014 in Incheon, South Korea.

The city was awarded the right to host the Games on April 17, 2007 when it defeated Delhi, India, and made this the third city in South Korea to host the Asian Games after Seoul (1986) and Busan (2002).

At their 29th General Assembly held this month in Guangzhou, the Olympic Committee of Asia (OCA) postponed deciding on the Incheon Games sports programme until the Executive Board meeting in Oman in December.
