XX. GYMNASTICS INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Fellbach-Schmiden, 6./7. March-
______________________________________________
Again, this year the Schmidener „doers“ of the traditional tournament were creative, which can be seen for instance from the competition modus:
* In focus: The elite groups ... * For the first time a group competition will take place in the master class (16 years and up) - on the other hand the single discipiline is not included in the programme of the 20th jubilee edition. Therewith, the German national team which has been at home in Schmiden since the end of 2008 will of course be at the start and the centre of attention.
* .... and JEM-qualifications
In the junior area it remains with single all-around exersises, but also here there are specialities:
For one it is the second and last official qualificationfor the German junior team for the junior European Championships in the frame of the RSG-European Championship 2010 (16.-18. April 2010 in Bremen). At least, at most four juniors can be nominated for the JEM. Also now not only 6 but 9 juniors are able to get into the apparatus finals.
A new development is also a newcomer tournament, which will open the competition on saturday morning.
Parttaking nations (stance 24.02.2010): Estland, France, Israel, Kasachstan, Poland, Russia, Slowakei, Slowenia, Czech Republic, USA, Belarus, Germany
