In Linz Europes year group bests of artistic gymnastics will meet the Asia winners. This is how the list of parttakers of the Junior national team will be led by the acting vice-Olympic winner and the vice world champion from Japan, where they had prepared themselves particularly intensively: they even did their own qualification for the meeting in Austria within the youth squad in Austria.
Best chances for an international profile.
Led by the freshly elected Austrian junior champions Matthias Schwab and Xheni Dyrmishi the Austrian Gymnastics Association (ÖFT) naturally nominated it's strongest young gymnasts.
* Austrias State Association Supervisor Dieter Egermann:
„We offer the chance for gymnastics to distinguish itself in national as well as in regional teams. The TGW-Future-Cup is a fantastic opportunity for us, for an international comparison. Thomas Bauer 2004 and Gabriel Rossi 2007 had brought back red-white wins in the past. Whether a local gymnast will manage it this time however, is highly questionable, considering the very strong competition.“.
* Parttaking teams:
Host country Austria, Beligium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finnland, Germany, Hungary , Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sweden.
With more than one team Switzerland for example, will be coming with 8 gymnasts of the Swiss Federal National trainer
Csaba Bordan, Germany with 4 teams (from Halle, Cottbus, Berlin and the Gymnastics Union from Baden) and 2 teams from the Netherlands, from Slowakia and from the Czech Republic.
