British Gymnastics announced WCh Team for St. Petersburg
British Gymnastics is delighted to announce the Trampoline Team for the 2009 World Championships in St Petersburg, Russia, 11-14th November.
The games are the first in the new Olympic cycle, and the first of many important competitions for the elite British Trampoline gymnasts ahead of London 2012.
Georgina Sharples, British TRA Programme Director:
“As the first major Championships of the London Olympic cycle this is an opportunity to see how the discipline is progressing and the effects of the implementation of the latest change in the code of points. The British team we are pleased to announce today contains a blend of experience in Kat Driscoll as a recent World Cup winner, Olympian Jamie Moore, established Senior International James Higgins, and some newcomers for whom Russia provides their first major Senior International Championship. The focus is clear for all, St Petersburg will provide an exciting challenge, an opportunity to compete alongside the best in the World, plus the chance to learn from the experience and to take the first steps on the road to London Olympic Qualification”
