On May, 3rd, the long time member of the Men's Technical Committee of the European Gymnastics Union, Claus HALLER, died at the age of only 53 because of an internal bleeding.
With Claus Haller looses the international and the Swiss gymnastics a great gymnastics personality. Claus Haller dedicated his life to this sport and especially to artistic gymnastics. He worked for more than 27 years for the Swiss Gymnastics Association (STV). He was furthermore coach, also for the national team, international judge and at the end head of the apprenticeship of male artistic gymnastics....
As chief editor and developer of national competition and test programs he contributed to the technical development of young artistic gymnasts up to a high international level during a few Olympic cycles.
Numerous leaders of the STV from all over Switzerland benefited from his knowledge for apprenticeship courses.
The deceased left his marks on European level. Claus Haller was member of the Men's Technical Committee of the European Gymnastics Union (UEG) since 1993.
