Third World Cup of the Season - Final Day in Maribor

The hometown of the legendary Slovenian gymnast of the last century, Leon Stukelj (1898 - 1999), Maribor, is host of the oldes European tournament, the 42 anniversary of "SALAMUNOV MEMORIAL".

Stanislav VALIEV (KAZ) won on vault, Mitja PETKOVSEK (SLO) on parallel bars, of course, but Slovenian veteran Aljaz PEGAN was beaten by the younger Dutch Olympian Epke ZONDERLAND on hig bar.
On women's side all the successes went to young Russian girls, Kristin GORYUNOVA was the double winner on final day ...
