* fig --: There’s no doubt about it, the Women’s Floor Final is a two-part act. The first is a battle between the Olympic finalists of Beijing, a way to set the record straight for outgoing Olympic champion Sandra Izbasa (ROU) and her Chinese pursuers Jiang Yuyan, 4th in Beijing, and Cheng Fei, 7th.

Revenge is in the air at Madrid’s Telefonica Arena, which is completely sold out for the event. The second part brings together gymnasts shooting for a place on the podium. There’s Daniele Hypolito (BRA), 8th in Teams in Beijing, Alina Kozic (UKR), Bronze medallist at the European Championships in Amsterdam and Dutch gymnast Suzanne Harmes, 3rd at the 2005 Worlds in Melbourne ...

Elena Zamolodchikova (RUS):
... most experiences!

 ... and recent winner of the 2008 World Cup Stage in Maribor (SLO). Everyone’s looking forward to seeing Elena Zamolodchikova (RUS).
The double Olympic Champion in Sydney 2000 (floor and vault) is no stranger to large-scale events, and her experience will speak for itself in Madrid.

Lais Souza (BRA) is still a bit shaky in this event. She has yet to confirm, but her presence in Madrid would add yet another touch of pizzazz to a truly Royal Final.
