At the first competition day of the
4th Asian Gymnastics Championships 2008 started with a special "beat of a drum".
The bronze medallist at the
2007 World Championships on vault, the North Korean
RI, Se Gwan, created as the very first gymnast of the world at the vaulting table "Pegases", a handspring double somersault piked, to ther first time
with a half turn (!) (- the
"Blanik" + 1/2 rotation),
With the picked version of this jump (- of the tucked "Rochè"), the Polish inventor of this difficulty,
Leszek BLANIK, won the gold medal at the last years Worlds, but also at the
2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
