21st WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS of Acrobatic Gymnastics finished

Worlds finished with the Finals!

The 21st ACROBATIC WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
took place October 10 - 12 in the Kelvin Hall of Glasgow and ends with the Sunday's finals:
Russia won the men's and women's groups, the mixed pair and also the team competition and was once again the most successfull nation.
Ukraine (men's pair) and Belarus (women's pair) won the other two gold medals.
Host Great Britain won silver in the team event

* These Acro Worlds 2008 will start on Friday, October 10 with the preliminary rounds and will finish with the finals on Sunday, October 12.'

* The 153 gymnasts, representing 18 countries will compete for the qualifications of theses F.I.G. Worlds in Acrobatic Gymnastics in Glasgow (GBR).

Sports Acrobatics officially joined the FIG in 1999, when the IFSA was dismantled.
Practised by men and women alike, dynamic Sports Acrobatics are among the oldest known disciplines. ...
