Schmiden shows the way to the future...
For the 19th time already on 8th and 8th March 2008, the "Gymnastics International 2008", will take place as an official F.I.G.-tournament in Rhythmic Gymnastics. Therefore, international top gymnasts from various countries will be our guests.
And that's not all!
Fellbach-Schmiden will apply for to become the centre of the German National team!
Head organiser Michael Buerkle is quite optimistic about this: "I think we are the best positioned sports base in the moment in order to build up such a centre for the National team." he said during a press conference in Schmiden...

Future-oriented....
By now all important gymnastics nations have registered so that we can count on an excellent tournament.
This time the juniors will receive special attention, since the date of the tournament is short before the Juniors' European Championships in June in Turin (Italy). For the youngsters, it is the last opportunity to present themselves in the public and to gain experience in a tournament before the Championships. A lot of countries asked for the admission of several junior gymnasts. For the German juniors, who are the inner choice for the JECh, the 19th Gymnastics International is a binding competition and one of two official qualification. Besides the Israeli federation declared the 19th Gymnastics International a qualification for their JECh candidates!

German Champion Johanna Gabor is planning her comeback
There will be excitement as well about the comeback of local champion Johanna Gabor, the only German gymnast of the the WORLDS-Team in Patras 2007. She is training again and wants to enter the international stage again.
Karolina Raskina, local champion as well and repeated German Junior Champion, takes part in the master class for the first time.
