Trampoline Season starts now ...!

International Opening of Trampoline Season ...
According to the chief organiser of the INTERNATIONAL NIEDERRHEIN-CUP 2008, Ulla HUPPERTZ, the 12th run of the traditional trampoline competition is overbooked already now, although it only takes place in one month.
The maximum capacity of about 250 competitions maximum has been reached already.
To the international opening of the trampoline season 2008 the organisers expect teams from six countries...

XII. INTERNATIONAL NIEDERRHEIN-CUP 2008
- Kempen, 23-February-2008 -

Since one and a half decades this traditional tournament is an attractive part of the european trampoline competition schedule. In 2008, it is announced again for four female and male age groups each and for the youngsters' team cup:

*Individual:
- Pupils (minis): age groups 1997 and younger;
- Pupils                age groups 1994 - '96;
- Teens,               age groups 1991 - '93
- Adults,      age groups 1990 and älter.

* Youngsters' team cup:
Team size 4, i.e. three pupils, one teen

Dates / Schedule:
- Gym, Kempen Nord -

* Friday, 22nd February 2008: 7pm - 9pm: training
* Saturday, 23rd February 2008
- 8.00 am - 10.15 am: warming up
- 10.30am - 5pm Competition
... followed by the award ceremonies

* The hosts:
The unique trampoline department of the TV Kempen 1960 is already 25 years old.
Founded by Ulla Huppertz with eight gymnasts only, it has become the biggest trampoline department in Germany, because there is probably no other federation which still has over 500 (!!) members...?!

The federation offers a great variety: starting with training for the little ones, training youngsters for competitive sports and leisure sports - there is even an offer for physically challenged people - and trampoline gymnastics for elderly people. Even if the federation did not have big international successes yet, there are National Champions, Vice champions and Bronze medal winners in the federation.
