24th SEA Games: Vietnam won 4 medals in Sports Aerobics

Gold for Ba Dong and Thu Ha (Vietnam)

Vietnam won one gold, two silver and one bronze medal in sport aerobic at the 24th SEA Games in Nakhorn Ratchasima (Thailand), on December 5.
The gold medal went to Vu Ba DONG and Tran Thi Thu HA in Mixed Pairs.
The silver medals went to Nguyen Phuong Thanh in the Women’s Individual event and Vu Ba Dong, Nguyen Xuan Giang and Nguyen Thien Phuong in the trios event.
The bronze medal went to Nguyen Thien Phuong in the Men’s Individual.
Thien Phuong was the first Vietnamese artist who begun the aerobic competition in the afternoon.
Thien Phuong led his competition with a total of 19.80 until hosts artists Thotkhamchai Phairach and Tawinun Kittipong executed their performances. Tawinun won the gold medal in the event, with a total of 21.45 points while Thotkhamchai won the silver medal, with a total of 21.10 points.
Ba Dong and Thu Ha started their final competition in mixed pairs just after Thien Phuong’s winning of the bronze medal.
With a total of 20.20 points, including 8.4 points for artistic, 8.3 points for execution and 3.5 for difficulty, the Vietnamese pair share the first place with Thailand’s pair Pimpa Nattawut and Ngampeerapong Roypim, who earned 8.5 points for artistic, 8.4 points for execution and 3.3 points for difficulty.
Phuong Thanh failed to upset Ngampeerapong in the women’s individual event, finishing runner-up with a total of 19.65 points. Ngampeerapong, who won the gold medal in the event, scored 20.60 points.
Another silver medal went to Ba Dong, Xuan Giang and Thien Phuong, with a total of 20.15 points. Thotkhamchai, Yaimmitr Chanchaluck and Tawinun, won the event with a total of 10.60 points. So far, Vietnam have won eight gold, five silver and 14 bronze medals and are third in the medal tally, behind Thailand and Singapore.
