Favorite of Hearts won four decisions
On Easter Sunday, final day of the "2008 DERYUGINA CUP", the first world cup of the Olympic season, was a total triumph for the reigning all-around champion Anna BESSONOVA - second placed in the all-around qualification, with a difference of one tenth only: The "Favorite of the Hearts' won all the four final decisions.
Russia's Olga KAPRANOVA won the all-around competition in front of BESSONOVA and two silver medals (Rope, hoop), Olga SESSINA (ribbon) and Evgenia KANAEVA (clubs) the other two. Only one bronze medal went outside of the Ukraine and Russia, to Inna ZHUKOVA with clubs...
Italy, Russia, Ukraine was the sequencing of the groups' all-around decision...

After the Italian victory in the all-around group competition the
Russian girls dominated the final events on Sunday and won all the two final decision in front of Italy.
The Japanese girls advanced from fifth to fourth place with 3 hoops/2 clubs...:
