Karavaevaa, Nikitin - another triumph for the favourites

At the "International Astronaut Alexandrov-Tournament" - which is also the fourth World Cup Competition of the present FIG series - athletes representing 19 countries competed this weekend in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia. Olympic champion of 2004, Yuri Nikitin (Ukraine) and Olympic champion of 2000 Irina Karavaeva (Russia) once again won the competition.
The Synchronized competition was dominated by Yasuhiro Ueyama / Tetsuya Sotomura from Japan, ...
the ladies' synchronized competition was lead by Yulia Domchevska / Elena Movchan from the Ukraine.
Wang Jiexu (China) took a clear lead in the men's Tumbling competition, Laura Housan from Great Britain won the ladies' event.
