The ACRO-Cup Albershausen 2007 will be taking place soon.
From 13 -15 April 2007 the best young athletes in the world will meet in Abershausen (Baden-Württemberg).
There will be almost 90 groups and pairs from 8 countries (Russia, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Bulgaria, England, Switzerland and France) taking part - in all about 300 guests, even more than there were two years ago.
The name "Albershausen" has become synonymous with a top event in the world of sports acrobatics...

5. ACRO-Cup Albershausen 2007
- from 13-15 April 2007 in the Albershausen gymnasium, featuring participants of the European and World championships from 8 countries.
The popularity of the ACRO-Cup Albershausen is increasing more and more in the world of sports acrobatics.
Almost 90 groups, consisting of 300 athletes and their trainers from 8 countries are planning to come to Albershausen for its fifth edition. 10 years ago, a mere 30 groups and 70 athletes participated. Just as in years past, world and European champions have registered for the competition.

Changes in the international scene
Since 2006, the title holders no longer come exclusively from countries in Eastern Europe.
England for instance snapped up three world championship titles last year, defeating the Russians - two of these world champions from the junior section will be competing in Albershausen.
Günther Mäußnest, the head of department, has good contacts all over the world and was thus able to convince the entire English junior team to take part in the ACRO-Cup in Albershausen.
The delegation from Russia will be smaller than in years gone by, to compensate however it will include the 2005 Junior European champions of the mixed pairs.
Asia will be represented by the sports acrobats from Kazakhstan, who will also be travelling farthest to compete.

For the first time, a French delegation consisting of four groups will come to Albershausen. It will be bringing the ladies' pair which snatched a medal from Janina Hiller/Sophia Müller from Albershausen (photo, right>> ) at the World Championships in Portugal. As the local favourites, they hope to turn the tables on their rivals this time.
Bulgaria has always been part and parcel of the competitions in Albershausen, not least because of the German national trainer Vitcho Kolev and his son Todor Kolev, who acts as the trainer for Wurttemberg's Master team. This time the Bulgarians are bringing their entire junior team. Belorussia is doing the same, so that the competitions in the junior section should be interesting.
