Heide Bruneder (AUT) |
Vera Sessina (RUS), totaler Triumph mit 4 Siegen beim letzten Grand Prix-Finale 2006 in Berlin |
GYMmedia: "Are there changes in the rules compared to last year?"
H. Bruneder: "Yes, but only concerning the right of the countries to compete: From the position table of 12 for each hand apparatus, no more than two gymnasts per country are now permitted to compete, even if more are placed. If one of the best two is injured or sick, then a third athlete can participate instead, otherwise only one athlete could take part for this country. In this way more countries have a chance of a place in the finals."
GYMmedia: "... what is new this year concerning the rather complex judging rules in Rhythmic Gymnastics?
H. Bruneder: "Basically there is nothing new, with one exception, concerning the acrobatic score: An extra bonus (2/10) is only awarded if special contents are presented in combination with the so-called 'obligatory difficulty' for each hand apparatus. "
