FIG Disciplinary Commission: SUSPENSION DECIDED
fig-info: -- The gymnast Nadzeya VYSOTSKAYA from Belarus has tested positive for furosemid (diuretic), during a routine antidoping control carried out at a World Cup event, in Ghent (BEL), on May 15, this year.
The case was immediately given to the FIG Disciplinary Commission for investigation, then decision, according to the procedure and directives of the World Antidoping Code and according to the current WADA*-FIG rules.
The Disciplinary Commission of F.I.G.,
in its meeting held on November 11, 2006, decided to suspend the gymnast, prohibiting any participation at a gymnastics competition from May 15, 2006 to December 31 2007.
The gymnast can appeal this decision to the FIG Appeal Tribunal within 20 days following the receipt of the sanction.
