Russian acrobats steal show in gymnastics gala
Russian acrobats stole the show in an entertaining two-hour FIG Gymnastics Gala at the Kuala Lumpur Badminton Hall (KLBA) on last Sunday.
Under the theme of “Showcase of Asian Gymnastics", the Russians showed their mastery as they tumbled, vaulted and danced. Their energetic performances certainly got the loudest cheer from packed house at the KLBA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Besides Russia, the other participating countries were Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Uzbekistan and hosts Malaysia....

Ng, Shu Wai (MAL)

Malaysian performers ranged from pre-schoolers to the elite squad.
Those in the elite squad were the men's artistic team of Ng Shu Wai, Ooi Wei Siang, Ng Shu Mun, Onn Kwang Tung, Mohd Azzam Azmi, Lum Wan Foong and Nurul Fatiha Abdul Hamid.
The rhythmic team that dazzled the crowd were Durratun Nasihin Rosli, Crystal Lim and Foong Seow Ting.
The gymnastics disciplines performed at the Gala included sports aerobics, artistic, rhythmic, dance, general, aerobics and trampoline.
The gala was held in conjunction with the world body's FIG's 125th anniversary.
