Canadian's international trampolining star Karen Cockburn won two gold medals in event finals to conclude the Canadian gymnastics championships at Universite Laval’s PEPS.
In trampoline and tumbling, two-time Olympic medallist Karen Cockburn of Toronto reclaimed the women’s trampoline crown and added a victory in synchronized trampoline with Rosie MacLennan of Toronto.
Other winners for the women were Sarah Smith of Burlington, Ont., in women’s tumbling and Rose James of in double mini trampoline....

On the men’s side, Jason Burnett of Toronto took the trampoline title, Denis Vachon of Burlington, Ont., was first in tumbling and Alberta’s John Vellner took the double mini crown.
Jason Burnett - New Canadian Trampoline Champion
High flying Jason Burnett was head and shoulders above the competition Saturday at the Canadian gymnastics championships, winning his first men's individual trampoline title with a dazzling final routine. Burnett, 19, easily topped the field in both the preliminaries and the final for a total score of 112.80 points.
Defending champion Bryan Milonja of Montreal was a distant second with 105.70 points and Charles Thibault of Quebec City was third at 102.60.
"I really did feel the title was mine for the taking," said Burnett. "I've been working on my mental focus a lot this year and it's really working nicely for me now. I wasn't nervous at all in my final routine."
