Chrystal had the highest score of 56.114 followed by Durratun (55.896) and Seow Ting (55.013). The trio, together with Hui Yee were gold medallist at the Manila SEA Games last December.
The Malaysian Gymnastics Federation president,
Datuk Dr Zakaria Ahmad, said that the initial plan was to name the three gymnasts for the Games after the Moscow Grand Prix from March 1-5.
“But with the dateline for submission of names for the Games being tomorrow, we needed to have the control test today to confirm the three names,” said Dr Zakaria.
He said Malaysia are ranked second behind Canada in Melbourne.
“We hope to bag the silver medal in the team event. We are not setting any target in the individual events but the gymnasts need to polish up their routines to put up strong challenges,” said Dr Zakaria.
Hui Yee was sad over her failure in the test....:
“I was looking forward to competing in the Games but I was a bit nervous and made a few silly mistakes,” she said.
“I will not be going to Melbourne but I will still be giving my best in the Moscow Grand Prix. I wish my teammates all the best in the Commonwealth Games.” Source: thestar >> read mor about this:
