The Star and the talents... and Asia's Beauty!
Winning the Olympic gold medal of figure skating in Turin by Shizuka Arakawa Japanese sport harvests successes for a long time commitment for young female talents of technical and aesthetical disciplines.
So the Japanese top star in figure skating is also the big example for the youngest rhythmic gymnastics talents, because the long way from the beginning to the top is alike the winter sports discipline.
Target of Japanese rhythmic gymnastics is also an Olympic medal in the near future, and so the input starts so precociously as possible...
Last weekend GYMmedia correspondent Takako KOBAYASHI visited the 2006 Rhythmic Gymnastics Child Championships in the Japanese capital....
... coming world stars of the Future...? Yumari Sakanashi and Myo Huashi

Myu Hoashi from 'Kumamoto RG'
|
This year 831 members (!) from 357 clubs (!) entries and participated at these child's championships!
In part of 5, 6 grade Yumari Sakanashi from 'Angel RG Kagawa Nicyu Kokubunji' and Myu Hoashi from 'Kumamoto RG' two gymnasts stand up top of award ceremony.
3,4 grade campion is Maki Nanao (Akita RG).
Special mention Yuma Sakanashi's coach is coming from China and she has changed rhythmic gymnastics style in Japan. So the performance and exercises, the whole style of Yumari Sakanashi, is more elegant more than other girls, showed more fexibility, however!
Just this was for a long time a special big problem of Japanese gymnastics. So many years, they had to study seriously and level them up to international quality from child generation. This trial was a new act of finding solutions for this problem!
