German's won at Home
The 30th anniversary of the oldest German international artistic gymnastics tournament, the 'LEVERKUSEN CUP' were won by the team of host with a score of 68,450.
A big surprise was the second placed Belgium team, lead by their best gymnast Aagie van Walleghem (67,575). On third place came the Mexican team of Regio Club Gimnastico (67,000).
Best in all-around was the German Daria Bijak (34,925) at her 20th birthday, followed by van Walleghem (BEL; 34,750) and by Elsa Garcia (MEX; 34,650) on third place.
This oldest international women's event of artistic gymnastics in Germany was a very big success for the organizers: More than 2,000 spectators were in an enthusiastic atmosphere and celebrated the performances of the gymnasts of the 12 international teams....
