The old scoring rules, applied for the last time at the DTB-Cup, were received with wheezing by the spectators.
Especially the Dutch Champion of the America Cup, second in Cottbus and Sao Paulo
Jeffrey Wammes , who showed a double twist ducked, a double somersault straight with a directly following somersault forward, but had to accept a basic note of 9,40 by the jury must have heard this. He fell back to the fifth rank, a reclamtion by the Dutch coach is being debated, however.
The score of the Japanese
Daisuke Nakano effected wheezing as well. He had presented safe stands and outstanding combinations, but received two tenth deduction due to time exceedance.
Eugen Spiridonov (TV Bous) achieved the best German position today - he was fourth of the final with a convincing effort.
It was apparent that outstanding contents and spectacular elements, which enthuse the spectators, are not appreciated adequately in the scoring rules - effecting the public's disapproval. The latter may - as the decision at the high bar shows - lead to the correction of a score at least.
This was no convincing conclusion of the in other respects felicitous DTB-Cup 2005.
