The 22nd European Championships of Sports Acrobatics (Juniors & Seniors) took place in Thessalonica (Greece) from October 13 - 16
About 90 competitors represented 14 European nations.
Russia was the most successful nation again, winning 11 from 12 gold medals in elite's (5) and juniors (6 of 6 !) categories.
The British athletes made a strong impression:
Behind the Ukraine ( 1 gold/ 3 silver/ 3 bronze) Great Britain came on third place of the medal standings (- / 4 / 4) winning all together 8 medals in all the junior's and elite's disciplines....

In men's pair, Ukraine won the title. The Russian mixed pairs and women's group left a very large impression of virtuosity. The British men's group was aiming for the gold, but they had to be happy with silver.

6th European Junior Championships of Sports Acrobatics

The 6th European Championships of acrobatic gymnastics ended with the total Russian triumph: After winning the team event, Russia won also all the finals of the five categories. With 6 gold medals Russia is the big winner of these competitions which were of an excellent overall level. Great Britain, came on second place of medals list, winning 3 silver and 1 bronze, followed by Ukraine (- / 2 / 3 = 5).

From October 10 - 11 was held the 1st European Age Group Games for sportst acrobatic talents from 11 to 16 years.
Great Britain was the most successful nation, winning three gold medals...
To the first time the European Gymnastics Federation (UEG) organized continental championships for the 11 to 16 old talents of sports acrobatic as the prelude of the 22nd European Championships of Acrobatic Gymnastics, following from October 13 - 16 in Thessalonica, Greece.
About 125 young athletes (11-16 years old) from 15 nations expressed themselves in two routines (balance and tempo).
Finally Great Britain was the best nation, winning 3 gold medals (Mixed pair, Men's pair, Women's pair) and 2 silver medals,
followed by Russia (2/1/2) and Poland (-/2/-), France (-/-/ 1) and Netherlands (-/-/ 1).
