Today the most popular title of the World Championships will be handed over. The individual all-around is said to be the most important discipline, it is also the only one for individual gymnasts which is Olympic.
The highest favourite for the all-around in Baku is Olga Kapranova from Russia who already won four gold medals at these World Championships. However, also Anna Bessonova (UKR), 5-times second-ranked at these championships up to now, and Irina Tchachina (RUS) will have their chances for the title.
Among the favourites for a medal are also Natalia Godunko (UKR) and Inna Shukova (BLR).
Altogether 24 of the best gymnasts (not more than 2 per country) will compete in this all-around final.
Competition times
The competitions start with group B at 2.00 pm local time (11.00 am CET) and will continue at 5.00 pm (2.00 pm CET) with group A which includes all the favourites. Final results are expected for around 7.45 pm local time (4.45 pm CET).
