Vladislav Skakun - back to Russia
The British Gymnastics Federation informed, that Vladislav Skakun is now leaving British Gymnastics to return to his native Russia and work as a National Tumbling Coach and as contributor to the training of their National Artistic Gymnastics teams.
For seven and a half years, since Vladislav Skakun took over the position of British Gymnastics National Coach for Tumbling, GBR enjoyed numerous successes on the International stage, including the ultimate: the 2003 World Team titles for both Men and Women....

The British victory in Hanover made history as Vladislav led the GB teams to Gold, defeating all, including the Russian team who are mentored by his own father, the famous Vassily Skakun, the inventor of the modern tumble track.
The 1997 World and 2004 European Champion, Kathryn Peberdy, former European Champion Robert Small, 2005 World Bronze medallist Samantha Palmer, 2005 World Finalist Damien Walters, Robert Proctor and many other British tumblers who, over the years, have brought back medals from all the major international events...
have all worked with Vlad, either on a Centralised Training basis, or on training camps.
Skakun’s superb professionalism,
his unique knowledge and coaching skills have won him well-deserved recognition word wide. His inborn gentleman’s approach to people, his calm response to any stressful situation and his genuine care for the gymnasts, have won their hearts!
