To the first time Rhythmic Gymnastics is scheduled at the program of the Mediterranean Games.
On Friday took place the four subdivisions of all-around qualification in the new but to small 'Moisés Ruiz' Sports Hall of the Spanish host city of Almer?a.
The top star and sovereign gymnast of first day's qualifying was the Spaniard Almudena Cid Tostado, the Grande Dame of Spanish gymnastics.
The Spanish favorit was also the best gymnast of the today's final. On second place came the French Delphine Ledoux, followed by the Greek Eleni Andriola...

Almudena Cid Tostado - number one in rhythmic gymnastics! Spain, Greece and Italy dominate the top positions of qualifiers
Rhythmic gymnastics has begun in the Mediterranean Games with the four round of qualifiers, in which gymnasts competed in the ball and rope events. After round one and two among the top ten gymnasts, Spanish participants can be found in first, Almudena Cid Tostado, fourth, Jennifer Colino Guerra, and sixth, Esther Escolar Menéndez. Greece and Italy are currently in second and third place, respectively.
But Cid Tostado was sovereign the number one at the end of the all-around qualification, followed by the Greece Eleni Andriola and the second Spaniard Jennifer Colino

The 'Moisés Ruiz Hall'in Almería was overcrowed again at the final day of the rhythmic gymnastics decision. The heat was almost insufferably...
.. but it was an excellently competition again and the audience wants to see the favorite Almudena Cid Tostado on the podium - better: all the two Spaniards...
So Almudena Cid was the best gymnast again and was the souvereign winner of the Mediterranean Games 2005, followed by the French Delphine Ledoux, without any mistake and the Greak Eleni Andriola with some prblems with rope and ball.
