Twice British Champion and twice Commonwealth Games Team Gold medallist Ross Brewer, won the Individual all-around and the p.bars contest in the friendly International Australia versus Great Britain, at the Queensland Gymnastics Centre, Brisbane on April 9, 2005.
To this, in his debut Senior GB Team International, Adam Cox added a silver medal on high bar. For Oliver Kneen and Steven Jehu this too was their debut senior event in the land of ‘Oz’.
The rejuvenated team of the Australian hosts won the Team contest 158.500: 153.800.....
'Their Juniors, who have just stepped into the Senior level, have improved very much and I expect Australia to do very well at the World Championships in Melbourne in the end of the year and also at the Commonwealth Games in March 2006 ', said the British Head Coach Martin Reddin ' We only arrived in Australia three days before the competition and considering the long travel and the short time to acclimatise, our gymnast have done a good job'.
Australia won also the friendly International against Ukraine in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, while in Rhythmic Gymnastics Malaysia dominated over the hostesses.
