The Club for rhytmic gymnastics Narodni Dom Ljubljana is organising the 18th International MTM Narodni Dom Tournament, which will be held on April, 9th, in sports hall Krim Galjevica in Slovenian capital Ljubljana. The tournament has become by far the largest RG event in this part of Europe and is know worldwide by the motto of famous Slovenian drama actress Ivanka Mežan: 'Endow, bird, my youth with wings...'...

18th International MTM Narodni Dom Tournament 2005
2005, April 9, Ljubljana
This year 2005 the organizers expect more than 60 gymnasts from 18 countries, along with team world champion from Russia, Olga Kapranova, who will be without a doubt the favourite to win this year's tournament.
Along with many interesting names of RG, such as Liubov Charkashyina from Belarus, French gymnast Aurelie Lacour, Analia Serenelli from Argentina, Nuria Artigues from Spain and others, the complete Slovenian team is registered, along with the best three from the first competition for national championships, Tjaša Šeme, Andrea Žegarac and Špela Gala (all from RG club Narodni dom).

'This tournament is very important for seniors, who are preparing for EC in Moscow. Even though they had some problems with injuries, they are getting into shape step by step and I hope they will show in front of home audience, what they can do,' said Slovenian head coach
Elena Yakoubouskaya:
'The competition will also be strong in all the other categories: juniors, cadettes and girls and we are looking forward to Saturday.' A big honour is a visit form the first RG Olympic Champion in history,
Canadian Lori Fung (winner of Los Angeles Olympics, 1984), who will be coming to Ljubljana with her girls.
Competition will start at 9 a.m. with girls, cadettes will begin with their performances at 11.15, at 13.30 Juniors will compete.
After the opening ceremony at 2.45 p.m. you will be able to admire Senior gymnasts, including the complete Slovenian national team as well as some of the World's best gymnasts.
