Steve Penny Named President/CEO of USA Gymnastics

usa-gymnastics: --- Steve Penny has been named President/CEO of USA Gymnastics in a vote by the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors. Penny, who joined USA Gymnastics as Sr. Vice President in 1999, begins his new role this week, replacing Bob Colarossi, who resigned earlier this year.
In his role as Senior Vice President, Penny oversaw all marketing, event operations and communications for USA Gymnastics. His responsibilities included the management of the 2003 World Championships, USA Gymnastics' partnership with NBC Sports, and sponsorships with Visa, adidas, T.J. Maxx, and others.

'We look forward to the continuity Steve Penny provides in the management of our business affairs, particularly with our sponsors and other partners,' said USA Gymnastics Chairman Ron Froehlich.
'Steve carries an excellent reputation within the Olympic movement and his wide range of experience, coupled with his understanding of USA Gymnastics, provides a solid foundation for his role as CEO.'
