Swiss gymnastics breaks new ground

About 13 years after the opening of a new hall in the sport centre Schauenburg in Liestal, where led by trainer Dieter Hofmann a new successful generation of Swiss male gymnasts was established, the new 'Sports and Health Centre Rosen' will be officially opened this weekend.

The new training hall, a former horse riding arena transformed into a hall with top equipment supplied by the Dutch company Janssen-Fritsen, complies with the standards for top-class gymnastics.....

Completely equipped by JANNSEN-FRITSEN (NED)

Astonishing improvement
In October 1991 an artistic gymnastic hall, financed by lotery money in the sport centre Schauenburg in Liestal could be brought into use. At the same time, the former successful trainer of the GDR-national team, Dieter Hofmann, started as head trainer of the North Swiss Art- and Gymnastic centre in Liestal (NKL).
Under his direction, NKL has become one of the leading training centres for young talents in Switzerland.
