Next: World's top gymnasts in Glasgow
The world’s greatest gymnasts will gather in Glasgow next week (October 29 - 31) for the eighth consecutive year of the city’s Grand Prix World Gymnastics Cup event.
Gymnasts from 28 countries will compete at the Glasgow's Kelvin Hall International Sports Arena....
The Grand Prix has become an established fixture in the World Cup circuit, and this year’s event is expected to attract a host of World and Olympic champions.
Some stars to look out for are the Olympic parallel bars champion, Valery Goncharov, from Ukraine, double world champion Jordan Jotchev from Bulgaria, and world number one Elena Zamolodchikova, from Russia.
From the UK, four-time British champion Beth Tweddle, and Ross Brewer, a current British champion, will be competing, also the German young star Fabian Hambuechen, Thomas Andergassen and Christian Berczes....
The last event of the WC circuit will be the 'DTB Pokal' in Stuttgart (November 26 - 28), the city of the over next and Pre-Olympic world championships 2007.
But the absolutely highlight after the Olympics this year will be the 12th World Cup Final in Birmingham, December 11 - 12 with the top eight gymnasts at the different apparatuses.
