Grandi with new principles...
|
2 weeks before the F.I.G.- World- Congress:
With an internal information document to the member federations Bruno Grandi has started a new stage on the FIG's way to new international judging regulations in artistic gymnastics:
In the document are listed the principles which according to him are required for the new 'Code de Pointage'. The FIG- World Congress will now take care of this issue at the end of October in Antalya (TUR)...
Principles for the new judging regulations
('Code de Pointage')
1. all-purpose applicability for all levels of gymnastics;
2. No limit on top for the score (in the A- score for the difficulty), (that means nor more 'perfect 10', which is supposed to remain only in the B-score for the execution);
3. A stronger emphasis on the execution in contrast to the difficulty through a doubled consideration of it for the final score;
4. Elimination of the bonus points (for combinations) and integration of these points into the values for the elements.
The fundamental decision now lies with the FIG-Congress from Oct. 21st - 23rd in Antalya (Turkey) where a ballot for Grandi's proposals will take place. In case his proposals would be accepted the Technical Committees of women's and men's artistic gymnastics- which will also be newly elected at the cogress - would have one year to develope the new Codes.
