International Friendship Event
Inside Gymnastics reported, that nine months after tearing her Achilles tendon during training for the World Championships team finals in Anaheim, Calif., Courtney Kupets (USA) scored a 38.175, including a meet-high 9.725 on bars for the former World Champ on that event - to top the all-around standings at last week’s International Friendship event at the U.S. National Team Training Camp in New Waverly Hills, Texas....
Kupets topped U.S. teammates Carly Janiga (37.075), Tabitha Yim and Kristina Comforte (tied with Yim for third with a 36.775) for the win.
Seventeen athletes from seven different countries took part in the low-key International Friendship competition, with the U.S. women claiming the top seven all-around spots.
