Van de Leur Not at Europeans and Olympics

Cetate Online Service pronounced, that Verona van de Leur (NED) will not be going to the Olympic Games in Athens (GRE) this summer.
Van de Leur (18), who has been dealing with an ankle injury for over a year now, does not feel fit enough to take part in the competition against Spain this weekend. Participation in this event is necessary to qualify for the European Championships in Amsterdam (NED). The European Championships are, in turn, a qualification for the Olympic Games....
Van de Leur is not thinking about quitting.
She said in a Dutch TV program: 'I want to reach my [old] level again. I think that the World Championships in 2005 in Australia will be okay'.
