Final Day of World Cup in Lyon

On floor: Janis Savenkov (BLR)

The annual French International began Saturday in Lyon, with the qualifying competition for Sunday's event finals.
The ten winners of the Sunday's finals in the 'Palais des Sports' in Lyon came from ten different countries:
- So Janis Savenkov from Belarus won his first world cup event on floor;
- After mistakes one week before in Cottbus now Olympic champion Marius Urcica got the highest score this weekend (9,825) on pommel horse...
- and best of all women was the Brasilian world champion on floor Daiane dos Santos again (9,650) ...

It was the second world cup in the Olympic year 2004, after the World cup in Cottbus / Germany.
In the venue 'Palais des Sports de Gerland' of Lyon it was the 11th of all together 20 world cups of the circuit 2003/2004, which will finish at the World Cup Final at the beginning of December 2004 in Birmingham, Great Britain.
