World Cup in Lyon: Qualifications

One week after the Worlsd Cup in Cottbus (GER), the world top gymnasts took the direction of the 'Palais des Sports de Gerland' in Lyon (FRA) for the 13th French International on Saturday and Sunday.
This FIG Artistic World Cup event seems ferocious according to the participation : 91 men and 45 women from 39 countries will battle in the qualifications on Saturday (2 - 8 p.m. local time).
On Sunday, March 14, 10h30 - 12h30 and 14h30 to 17.45 p.pm, with live coverage from 14h50 to 15h50 on French TV 3.

The top stars in Lyon will be:
: - 3 Olympic Champions, 2 Olympic medallists (2000), 9 World Champions and a dozen of Worlds medallists (2001, 2002 et 2003) including :

Marius Urzica (ROM) - Olympic Champion on Pommel Horse and World Champion in 1994, 2001 and 2002.
- Igors Vihrovs (LAT) - Olympic Champion on Floor.
- Elena Zamolodchikova (RUS) - Olympic Champion on Floor and Vault, World Champion on Vault in 2003.
- Dimosthenis Tambakos (GRE) - Olympic silver and World Champion 2003 on Rings.
- Oksana Chussovitina (UZB) - World Champion 2003 on Vault.
Daiane Dos Santos (BRA) - World Champion 2003 on Floor.
- Marian Dragulescu (ROM) - World Champion 2002 on Floor, World Champion 2001 on Vault.
- Paul Hamm (USA) - All-Around World Champion in 2003.
- Vlasios Maras (GRE) - World Champion on Horizontal Bar in 2001, 2002.
- Jani Tanskanen (FIN) - World Champion on Horizontal Bar in 1997.
The French team features
- Eric Casimir, Yann Cucherat and Dmitri Karbanenko (with Benoît Caranobe and Johan Mounard in exhibition only) for the men as well as
- Soraya Chaouch, Maud Collas and Marine Debauve for the women.
