Yuri Zolotov, the President of Russian Sports Acrobatics Federation passed away on March 3, 2004.
The death of Yuri Zolotov became a tragic news for every acrobat in Russia and in the World without exception.

Yuri Zolotov passed away...
A lot of people were always attracted by his kindness, sincerity, openness, perfect sense of humor and optimism, they loved their President and he treated all them with equal warmness and care – as if they were all his children. Love to this man will never disappear from our hearts, and memory will remain cherished and tender.
Yuri Zolotov was continuously the President of the Russian Sports Acrobatics Federation since 1986. He led the Federation through a very hard period in the life of the country – the period of Establishment of new, independent Russia. In many other sports Russian athletes yielded their leading positions on the international arena, but not acrobats, who stayed incontestable world leaders and always brought a good harvest of gold medals from all major acrobatic events.
Yuri Zolotov is the first person, who must be thanked for that success, which is the result of his life-long devotion, wisdom, and the strongest authority.
Yuri Zolotov died on March 3, 2004.
In exactly two months he would turn 66. We express our most sincere condolences to all his relatives, friends and colleagues. We express condolences to the whole sports acrobatics community.
