BOSTON INVITATIONAL
The Boston Invitational All Around competition took place on Saturday, Feb 21.
As anticipated, the competition was dominated by Anahi Sosa of Argentina and Anna Pobokova of Netherlands, who placed first and second all around. Sosa delivered very strong performances, and impressed the audience with her expressive chorepgraphy.
On Sunday she won the clubs and the ribbon finals and was so the most successful gymnast in Boston, and the Dutch Anna Pobokova was the winner with hoop and ball....

First Day: All-around Decisions
Anahi Sosa performed an almost flawless, very expressive new ball routine, choreographed only a few weeks back (score: 24.100). She took home the handsome Boston Cup Trophy ...Equally impressive was Pobokova's ball, a magical blend of grace and beauty. Third placesd Sarah Stock of Sillhouettes of York club in Canada.

Suzy Lendvay from Burlington Rhythmics, Canada (all around score 70.900).
Ada Moisescu from the hosting team Rhythmic Dreams placed second with an all around score of 67.100.
Third was
Rosana Tso from Burlington Rhythmics of Canada (65.600).
Tiffany Bush (Canada) placed fourth while Barbora Dopplerova of Czech Republic placed fifth.

The podium training on Friday, Feb 20, was an excellent opportunity for over 50 athletes to try the competition hall and adjust to the local conditions.
>> Anahi Sosa and Anna Pobokova, along with other international and local athletes participated in the week-long training camp prior to the competition. There is much pressure for the young Dutch champion, Anna Pobokova, who is competing for the first time under the coaching of Ramona Stook. The results of today's event will decide if she will qualify to the European Championships later on this year.
The juniors competition lines up future hopes like Ada Moisescu of Romania and Barbora Dopplerova of Czech Republic, along with a few other talented gymnasts from US and Canada.
Boston Invitational, the largest Rhythmic Gymnastics competition on the US East Coast, brings together this year over 100 athletes of all ages and levels. A first in the US, this year the organizers of the competition are offering Event Finals during the second competition day. Top eight finishers in each event will qualify for finals the second day.
